Count stock and transfer between locations

Before you start

Sign in with access to Import Products for inventory checks or Transfers for moves. Confirm the origin and destination locations and scan the correct barcodes. Transfer management and cancellation require Admin, Developer, or Manager; stock removal is restricted to Admin or Developer. Coordinate with colleagues before completing a count, because completion changes stock to the scanned quantities.

Reconcile an inventory check

1. In Import Products, open Inventory Check, select the location, and start a check if no active check already covers it.

2. Scan physical items into the tally. In check mode, scans are counted rather than immediately added to stock.

3. Compare Previous Stock, Scanned Count, and Difference. Resolve unknown barcodes and discrepancies before completion; unknown barcodes are ignored.

4. Confirm Complete Check only after review. Inspect the results for increased, decreased, zeroed, and unchanged products. Cancel Check discards the tally instead of applying it.

Move stock

1. Open Transfers and choose Initiate. Select origin and destination, scan or add the products, and review quantities.

2. Confirm the transfer. It appears as Awaiting Pickup; the origin records pickup and the transfer moves En Route.

3. At the destination, verify the delivery and mark it Arrived. Review the completed record and location quantities.

Troubleshooting

A transfer cannot be delivered before pickup or scanned at the wrong origin or destination. Reload a linked request if it is no longer pending; resolve active inventory checks before confirming tally-sourced transfers. If a count would zero unscanned products, do not complete it until the physical count is verified.
